2016 Boulder Peak Triathlon – $25K “Fastest Pros” Elite Relay Team UnveilThe Boulder Peak Triathlon, one of the nation’s most iconic endurance events, celebrates 25 years of short course racing in 2016. In honor of this historic mark, we’re going big in 2016 — $25,000 BIG!
The nation’s fastest athletes will combine forces and descend upon Boulder in July for their chance at $25,000 – one of the world’s largest relay purses! The prize purse will be distributed to the top three female and male relay teams:
• 1st Place: $8,000
• 2nd Place: $3,000
• 3rd Place: $1,500
A total of 16 teams are enrolled in the competition, which closed to new entries on Wednesday, July 6. Registered teams are noted below, some with participants yet to be named:

$25K Elite Relay Challenge Details
• The $25K Relay competition is an open competition, available to all athletes. This is a separate competition from the “Regular Joe” Relay Team promotion.
• Each $25K Relay Team can consist of either 2 or 3 individuals. One person will represent their team in each discipline, with a team baton (timing chip) exchanged in Transition. Full event details will be communicated prior to race week.
• $25K Relay Teams must be comprised entirely of all women or all men (no Co-Ed).
• All $25K Relay competitors will race in the last wave, using private, mass Swim Start on clean Swim
and Bike Courses. Men will start at 9:40 a.m., followed by the Females at 9:45 a.m.
• Winning teams are determined according to official race gun time (the first individuals to cross the
Finish Line, assuming no penalties were assessed on course).
• All standard USA Triathlon age group rules will apply.
